He’s Calling Me

Exodus 3:1-6

Problems with Moses

1. Fraud
a. Hebrew raised as an Egyptian
b. Pretending to be something he wasn’t

2. Problem with anger management
a. Moses saw an Egyptian mistreating a Hebrew and fury and rage rose up within him

3. Murderer and Conspirator
a. Moses was so furious about what he had seen that he killed the Egyptian and hides his body in the sand and goes off if nothing has happened.

4. Runaway
a. The very next day, Moses realized that his crime had been witnessed and that Pharaoh would kill him when he heard. So Moses ran away

How many of us experience the same problems that Moses dealt with?
Some of us pretend to be everything God has called us to be when He has called us higher and into a deeper relationship with Him. We live with the anger of past and present hurts and would rather be miserable than forgive and release ourselves. We have destroyed dreams, hopes, reputations, and relationships. We have run away from this marvelous call and from the voice and will of God. If we stay in this mindset, we will never experience the fullness of God in our lives.

Calls of Moses
1. Out of darkness
2. Into holiness
3. Called to be a deliverer, messenger, a witness

God is calling. Can't you hear Him?
